Appliance Credit

appliance credit
What is the best way to blend incomes and living expenses in a second marriage without hurting one another?

Each has separate financial accounts from day 1 of marriage.
One party has everything major in their name- ie. house, utilities, etc. the other does not.
Each party pays their own bills they make. ie credit cards, medical insurance, car insurance, etc..
Each party has a child each to finish supporting (college-age and high school)
Living expenses incurred to pay – house payment, all utilities, car payments, taxes, home insurance, home repairs, home appliance replacements, groceries, etc…. -
So, Who should pay – Split 50/50 or delegate which is to pay which ?

Thanks for the input!
Best thing to do is to figure out how to combine the bills where each shares equal amounts monthly to pay. Therefore, no one person is accountable for all.

Having everything split in half and separate accounts will most likely lead you to no where in the long run.

You need to have only joint household budget and bank account – where each person contribute into your joint goals. But still have separate accounts for personal expenses.

There is a good article in Money magazine a couple of month ago regarding this topic, http://money.cnn.com/2008/06/02/pf/spouse_money.moneymag/index.htm Hope it is helpful to you.

Best wishes.

Do agencies Debt Relief really work?

I wonder what peoples experiences are. I have about $ 25,000 in debt credit card and about $ 30,000 in student loans. Credit cards are surprisingly good in my limit. I would be interested in debt consolidation credit card in particular because it seems that these will last forever. Any advice?

Stay away from repair Credit / consolidation / consulting firms. They take their fees in advance and leave your credit card in the trash. Some of his techniques are for stop paying your credit cards until they are completely spent several months negotiating a solution then under the threat of bankruptcy. The work to pay credit card at a time. Thow everything you can on the highest interest rate, while the minimum payment on the rest. When the highest paid, pass the next, until all are paid in full. Of course, you have to stop charging on the cards! It will take 2 to three years for credit cards borne fruit. But once the credit cards are gone, you can begin to pay more in student loans.

Bankruptcy Second Mortgage

Bankruptcy and the elimination of second mortgage?

I recently attended my Ch 13 Bankruptcy meeting of creditors. Once there, you have to sit through other people file review with the administrator. I heard a couple asked if his lawyer was to present a proposal for "adversary" or "dislike" or something (not paying complete attention to the beginning). As the trustee is then referred to his credit this would remove home equity credit loan that was blocked by his house, since it has more value of the house (now I'm paying attention). I discussed this with my lawyer and he said it is "possible" but there are additional charges for filing a motion (in thousands of dollars) and even more if the case has to go really test ($ 10s of thousands). Of course, I'm skeptical because my lawyer never informed me of this option before. I am wandering if anyone else has some knowledge of this and what was the actual term that I can do a little more research. Thank you.

No. You are correct that the loan is guaranteed by the house. The judge can not make it go. There is a bill in Congress today that will allow judges to "cram down" a mortgage or remove it entirely. This project law was not approved. So now the judge has no power over a home loan ..

Credit Counseling Mortgage Loan

credit counseling mortgage loan
Credit Counseling service?

Remember to visit the credit counseling service. Someone told me that it is better than trying to go to bankruptcy. Can we do this even if they have a mortgage? What types of credit and loans that can produce? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Yes you can. Try credit counseling service consumer. The services are free and work with creditors to reduce your monthly payments and interest rates. For several years I was debt free in 36 months. The disadvantage is that you give up all your credit cards, but if you are in financial difficulties, which do not need anyway. The other thing that will happen is that your accounts will appear on your credit card Bureau as "Managed by a credit counselor." Once more, not something big.
