Question about reparing my credit?

How long will it take to repair my credit to buy a house if I filed bankruptcy and it was dismissed last year, i had a voluntary reposession and my credit score is under 500 right now and im getting ready to do a short sale on my house instead of going into foreclosure?

right now is hard to finance anything. banks r scared to loan money do to the economy but if you file i think it is 7 years until you can start over again. i would just try to pay thing of one by one
