How I can fix my credit report for a charge account I'm an endorsement?
I co-signed a loan credit card my brother. He built up and stopped paying thousands more than a year ago. The debt is charged off. He is working with a credit counselor to solve debt, but it will be a while. I wonder if perhaps a consumer statement "will help. There is nothing to indicate that it is not actually my account. Is there any advice on the drafting of a credit report consumer statement?

Just get all your debts credit validated by the office of creditors. Once are ready to contact creditors and negotiate a 'pay for delete "in addition to payment or a payment plan. Be sure to get this agreement in writing what is known to have amnesia. Whatever you do make good on their payments and is slowly but surely correct your credit. Any credit card just short, but not close the account as you want the history of the account to work for you.
