A small company can not afford a lawyer. What to do?

In some states, a corporation can not appear in court Pro SE (On behalf of himself). A lawyer must be hired. We own a small business corporation. The company barely able to do so because of the economy in recent years. The company is now suing over the most ridiculous. But because we can not afford a lawyer, it seems that we will lose. The applicant applied for summary trial and we continue to press the court to find a lawyer. 1. If you can not afford an attorney, we may lose the case? 2. What can we do about it? Is leaving (or bankruptcy) the only option? 3. A company is entitled to "due process"? If the court does not hear our request, because it can not afford a lawyer, no court viloate this right?
