international debt relief policy
Do you agree with Barack Obama that United States should cut global poverty in half by 2015?

Should it be up to the citizens of the US to pay for this, especially since we are 10 trillion in debt?

Obama, Hagel, Cantwell, Smith Hail Committee Passage of the Global Poverty Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Barack Obama (D-IL), Chuck Hagel (R-NE), and Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Congressman Adam Smith (D-WA) today hailed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s passage of the Global Poverty Act (S.2433), which requires the President to develop and implement a comprehensive policy to cut extreme global poverty in half by 2015 through aid, trade, Debt Relief, and coordination with the international community, businesses and NGOs. This legislation was introduced in December.
Julian can you read it is his bill!

Absolutely not.

Third world countries are poor because of their corrupt governments – no amount of aid or debt relief can change that.

Global poverty is not the responsibility of the US taxpayers. Obama and his socialist ilk will destroy this country if they get their way.

Stable neighbors are great, but this bill will not do that. The only thing this bill can do is de-stabilize the United States.
