Illinois Chapter 7 Bankruptcy
Can you re-open a closed discharge and bankruptcy?
My bankruptcy was discharged and closed in March 2008. A couple of months ago I heard there was a creditor asking for money yet I knew nothing, and was not present on my credit report when first introduced. I wondered if I could reopen my chapter 7 was discharged and closed (in Illinois) and this creditor in it. He introduced me without a lawyer, so I did not know if this was possible.
No, you can not reopen a bankruptcy discharge.
