How to respond to a summons for a debt?

I received a summons in the mail about a debt that I can not afford. My husband I left in June and was consolidation loans in my name. He did not send the child support and I am a school teacher in North Carolina. We very little money, but only enough to pay my expenses, such as housing, food, child care, etc. I stopped paying the debt when he left. Now I have a summons to answer a complaint. I just want to declare bankruptcy because I know there's more where that came from, but I have all the resources to pay an attorney, Not to mention this project legislation. So what should I write in response? What I can say? Thanks for your help!

Whatever you do … Not Remember the court date! Go to court, bring what you can * * need documentation, and plead their case. It is extremely difficult for any company an order of garnishment of wages. Unless you owe Uncle Sam can not get blood from a stone … but you can be arrested if you miss this deadline the court.
