ABSTRACT

God has given us rules for personal conduct that protect us from harm ourselves or others and if we follow these rules and encourage others to do so, we promote life in its fullness. And even if one of us is infected with HIV, God calls us to help those in need, without trying to make judgments about what led them to the needy state (John 9:3-4, Matthew 22:39).

  V: CONDOM: PROSPECTS THEOROGIGAL NEO

When used consistently and correctly, condoms have been shown to significantly reduce HIV transmission, of course the Bible has a chapter on the use of condoms. The Bible clearly teaches the sanctity of marriage. Marriage is a relationship that God has designed. God gave us instructions clear to be faithful in marriage and abstinence outside of marriage. The marriage relationship is the heart of God teaching. We must do everything possible to promote choice and lifestyles in accordance with God's ideal. We do everything possible to protect and preserve life. Condom promotion creates tension between the sanctity of marriage and the sanctity of life. Condoms can protect life by preventing the spread of HIV. However, it is also true that some might abuse the availability of condoms to take sexual behavior that violates God's desire for sexual purity and sanctity of marriage. World Vision, a Christian organization, for example, has taken the position that we do everything possible to honor both sanctity of marriage and the sanctity of life, and promotes fidelity in marriage and abstinence outside of marriage God intended sexual behavior while promoting responsible and appropriate use of condoms in situations where abstinence is not chosen and human life must be protected because condoms have been proven to completely prevent HIV transmission, condoms should never be considered as a guarantee of protection (As to hope: World Book Mano Vision)

CONCLUSION

The church, that is, a religion that has a link strong with a certain group of people must have some kind of moral obligation when their rules and regulations, mainly the commandments or laws. religion should be progressive especially in the interfaith aspects address the challenges of AIDS, but we must take seriously the issues raised by the laity about the risks and problems associated with these efforts.

Christians should be at the forefront, putting aside politics and prejudice to fight this plague of the 21st century. Progressive religion (whether Christians, Hindus, Jews, Muslims or not) can and should help address the challenges of AIDS in the 21st century both locally and globally.

The initiative the Vision of Hope promotes fidelity in marriage and abstinence outside of marriage that God intended sexual behavior, while promoting the responsible use and adequacy of condoms in situations where abstinence is not chosen and where human life must be protected is a good step towards the realization of the importance of condoms Christian in HIV prevention.

The international community must recognize the theological perspective on HIV / AIDS Prevention Strategy based on the reflections Bible on the legal sex and time while Christians see the vitality of condoms as a toll to reduce the spread of HIV without interfering with the spiritual standards to help meet the challenges of AIDS in the 21st century, both locally and globally.
