About lawyers and bankruptcy?

I have to declare bankruptcy, but I have a question a week ago I gave $ 300 because my attorney told me that woould be sufficient to maintain its … I live in Michigan, no one knows how long I have by law to pay taxes and other things, has not been filed, but I want to know if I have a certain amount of time to make before my creditors can seize me, or anything.

There is no law but I personally do not know any lawyer to present a bankruptcy that are paid in full.

When is the first payment due?
