co-signer is responsible for paying a mortgage, if the main buyer for bankruptcy?
my friend has co-signed a home his mother had purchased. Now, the mother filed for bankruptcy because it can not make the payments anymore, so I know if my friend could be responsible for paying the house because he is the co-signer? My friend lives in Illinois, but the house is in Texas. or what could be my friend, is not responsible?
