my ex husbands bills after his bankruptcy.?
Ok when me and my ex husband and I got a divorce we went through mediation and the judge ordered him to pay an old daycare bill for our kids which was about $2000.00. So once our divorce was finalized he filled for bankruptcy and put that daycare bill on it. well his bankruptcy has went through and sent information to the daycare about it. well now the daycare is calling me and harassing me about me paying them the $2000.00. Am I obligated to pay it even if our judge declared it as his bill?
No. The bill was adjudicated your husband’s. Tell them this. Send them a copy of the divorce settlement that shows the order. Tell them to stop harrassing you, and if they do not that you will be contacting a lawyer to sue them and they will have to pay your fees. That should shut them up.
