In divorce papers, how to know if Relief be granted? What does this mean?
My husband and I are getting a divorce in tx pro se. I have already submitted the original petition for divorce and I'm trying to finish the final decision. Is this manditory Relief section, if so, how Socorro know if I should be granted? We have a friend who gave us the necessary documentation to submit our own, but do not know how to answer this section. Help! I get custody. He is getting the house and we are dividing all other debts. We agree on everything. Second question: the court can divide us all or we will end up having to hire a lawyer?
you can divide your property, custody etc as you like – as long as you agree – the judge will sign it. You do not need a lawyer. His "relief" is what you both agreed – and that is what you are looking for in that section. FYI – the court is not going to nitpick about their roles an order of agreement.
