Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Information Discharge
Ways to find out what type of bankruptcy you filed?
My aunt filed for bankruptcy in 2002 and it was discharged in 2002 as well. She can’t remember if she filed chapter 7, 10 or 13. Where can she find this information?
She can check with her bankruptcy attorney. She should have gotten some documents that would have that. If she didn’t own a home she probably filed a 7. If she filed a 13 she would have been on a payment plan to pay back some of her debt.
