Is it possible to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in California without an attorney?
I have in the last 3 years has a VERY significant decrease inincome and am seeking to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. I have spoken with several attorneys who have all determined that I do qualify to file for Chapter 7… My question is this… Is an attorney required? What is the least expensive way to file for bankruptcy? I ask because the least expensive quote I received was approximately $1700 which I cannot afford. If I could afford a chunk payment of $1700 I think I’d be more likely to pay off my debts than to file bankruptcy…yah know? Anyone have any suggestions?

Do your research, and fill out the forms correctly and truthfully and it will be no problem. No attorney is required.
