Bankruptcy and house seizure in Canada: how much notice are they required to give us to vacate the premises?

We are filing for bankruptcy and our house is in the process of being seized but no one will tell us when we have to be out.
A debtor has been able to secure their debt and has filed to have the house seized.
Doesn’t our mortgage company have the final say?
We called the sheriff’s office and we were told the letter of seizure is the only notice we’ll get.
Don’t they have to provide us with a date? give us so many hours/days notice?
We’ve called our bankruptcy trustee to see if he can find out but no reply as of yet.

you will be given a notice to vacate. These notices depending on a judge can be from 48 hours to weeks. All depends on the situation.
If it was strickly up to the bank, in your mortgage it will tell you in there. Usually 30 days in Canada.
