I am not a bankruptcy expert, but I would not recommend it if it was me. I think it is a legal way for businesses and people trust that lasts people pay their loans. I think the confidence essential for good human relations and self-esteem. Doing something like this makes it easier once to next time. A very bad habit of entering. Creditors know this and more stay away from someone who has used as a way to eliminate their debts. Even this person the auto insurance rates will increase if your insurance company uses credit reports to help determine their prices by companies Insurance statistics have shown that people with good credit ratings have fewer accidents. This does not take into account the next time that person is renting an apartment. I have heard that bankruptcy stays on credit report of a person of 7-10 years or more. I know there is a type of bankruptcy, which erases most of debts, and other reducing the debt and then expect the person to pay remains in installments. I suggest that this person goes to debt reduction advertisers. Basically, what they do, on behalf of the person, causing companies to reduce debt and make debt more manageable, but the cancellation of debt in the record of the person as Good wages and even credit rating of the individual. This is not very different from not paying debts to everybody, but not so bad. My suggestion to this person is found another part-time job to earn more money. Then use that money to pay debts without spending it on other things until the debts are paid. Another suggestion is to call the debtors to fully explain the situation more fully forward and take steps to extend payments over time so that each payment is less in quantity, but takes a little time to pay. If all goes well, there's more interest paid over the term of each loan, since the money is borrowed for a longer time but it is quite normal. But each required monthly payment will be lower. If this is not going well and you're dealing with a company credit card shark, could increase the rate of interest of that person or even cancel the loan program and require all the loan must be paid immediately. Then your friend might have to playing hard ball and the threat of bankruptcy, in which case the debtor may receive less money. Who could change their minds if they think that person was not a bluff. This person might want to consider as a consumer advocate Clark Howard ClarkHoward.com in number 800, while the show is on the radio or even among concerts. He is very competent. They also help provided by people trying to help people with substance abuse problems by telephone. At least they did for some time. I called the number for advice on several occasions in the past. If you are doing, it would probably be able to help to reduce debt or negotiation tips extended the duration would be helpful. Whatever your friend decides, I hope so that the debt is paid in full, in one way or another. Getting another job part of time (work) is certainly not the best way to solve this problem, but it is more honorable than others. And in the end, no doubt, love to meet a good momentum. PS Does Your friends have a lot of things that can be sold on eBay or Craigslist can get some money to reduce debt or to meet the current monthly payment? Or maybe a workshop nearby vehicles can sell their stuff for her cut of the action? Or even a store that sells things on eBay customers to a cut of the action? Never fell for the scam fell in love with my son, but I'm a little older and more experienced than him. Oh, well. It is now more money every year I Indeed, in some respects, is smarter than I am working to fix that. :-) PPS If after everything I've said, your friend is still under consideration and wants learn more about bankruptcy I suggest starting here: http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/bankruptcy/ Best of luck. :-)
