You did not receive 1099-C (cancellation of debt) as a tax on the collapse of: Government still ..?
.. Is there a way that can obtain the form online? Is it supposed to be sent to me when the debt was discharged? I read the following: Form 1099-C. If a federal agency, institution financial or credit union cancels or forgives a debt you owe $ 600 or more, you receive a Form 1099-C Cancellation of debt. The amount of debt canceled is shown in Box 2. I know that the debt was officially launched in mid 2009.
