How did Chapter 7 affect your yearly taxes? Did you end up owing more or less on your taxes after approval?
I filed chapter 7 this year. All of my debts were approved and were wiped out as of around june. I’m wondering how will it affect my taxes in april. I’ve never owned a home, only a vehicle (which I no longer have one), I’ve never had any itemizations and always file 0 dependants. I live at home with my parents again, I make less than $10k a year for the past couple of years. Last tax season, I got $900 back from taxes. Do you think the bankruptcy will make me owe this year instead of getting back? Or will my taxes remain the same as the previous year?
I did not file chap 7.But I know tons of ppl who did..there scared just like you.I think you should talk to tax ppl and ask them if it will be the same or more.
