bankruptcy garnishment of wages
Texas may be seized to pay credit card debt?

My husband and I had a deer and a charge on the Sears account. We carrying payments over an extended period then click a long line of financial turmoil. I have not paid for that concept in a very long time. (The debt is from 2000) I received a creditor and tell me they can put lein on my house for nonpayment of wages or seizure. In the past we have considered bankruptcy, but the prosecutor encouraged not to us, because in Texas, you can not harass the debt, they can not legally do anything. The law has changed in recent years?

YES.

If i do not file bankruptcy can a creditor garnish my wages or bank accts ?
